I've added the Winter Carnival Ice Bowl to the events page - check it out for the cool details - and I do mean cool. Anyone up for winter camping in a public park in St Paul with an all night disc golf marathon??
I know you Hibbing players can handle it better than the cities players (I'm from Orr so I can say that - we're a lot tougher ;p )

The Third Anual Ice Bowl will be held on Satyrday Febuary 6th at the North Hibbing Disc Golf Course.
Last year we raised $875.00 placing us 74th in the nation. Great job guy's !!! With the state of the economy being what it is, the Hibbing Food Shelf needs our help more than ever. Let's start getting donations early so we can help out those less fortunate then ourselfs. I' bet we can brake the $1,000.00 mark this year and get into the top 50 !!! Remember, cash goes further than food donations, b…

Question: What happens if a group starts play before the official signal is given?
Response: Applicable Rules: 804.02 Beginning Play
A group might start early for any of a number of reasons: they may have thought they heard the start horn, another group may have told them to start, they may see other groups playing, or they look at the time and guess incorrectly that the start signal was given and they missed it. In any case, they may be playing along when they hear what is unmistakably the of…

The 9 hole disc golf course at Side Lake Recreation Center is nearing compleation. As of last week ( 7/11/09 ) five of the nine baskets are in place. We are waiting for the brush mower to come back and extend the four remaining fairways before cementing in the remaining baskets. Also the signage is being designed and we are waiting for material to complete the tee pads. All are welcome to come up to check out the course. I have attached a "rough sketch" of the layout. PS...feel free to pick up s…

Question: A player uses an object (in this case a branch) behind him to maintain balance for a putt. First, would this be considered "full control of balance"? Second, could you argue, if the branch is not so large that the players body weight will not move it, that it is a violation of 803.03 D and or 803.04 A because they could have moved the branch less by not hanging on it?

Well the first scramble of the year seems to have been a giant success. Thanks to everyone that helped get this one together with such short notice. Now lets make them bigger and better from here on out. We did pretty good giving the first place group $70 dollars to split, we also pay the second place group $40 dollars to split while the third place group got there money back. The more people that we can get the better those prizes are going to get. Just remember that you are required to have an…

Yeah my picture isn't exactly of me playing disc golf. But don't worry, my first sport of choice is Airsoft. And that picture is my general Ning ID picture. You see I manage an Iron Range Airsoft League on another Ning site. So don't think I'm some crazy gun swinging guy. I'm just displaying the sport I love. If you have no idea what Airsoft is you should check it out. Click here --->
